This is my first acrylic, made with my sister, who usually works with oil. Well...this was the first time I did a thing like this with her, and it was really fun.

omg, that's amazing - i thought it was a photo at first

the violin, roses and music are great, but you could adjust the background a little to make it a tad sharper, cos i'm not 100% sure what it is

other than that, keep those paintings coming =]

Maybe you should edit this deviation changing the category.. "acrylic" reminds me of "painting" :)

This is fantastic. As the other deviants mentioned, I too thought it was a photo. I had an idea to draw a violin and a rose and was seeing if anybody else had done something like that. I thought this was a photo and was considering keeping it in mind as a possible ref! It's very beautiful though, the composition is very good I think.

I have mixed feelings about the background. On the one hand, the color allows for the centerpieces to stand out kind of on their own plane; but on the other hand the various textures kind of detract from the painting.

Overall though, it's lovely!

Personly, I don't like the background so much but... I coudn't say why before, so thanks for your opinion, I'll work on it!

You're welcome! Glad to help. Upon looking at it again with fresh eyes, it almost seems to me that the background makes the sheet music, and possibly the violin itself, seem like it's floating which might be distracting. However, I still love it and think you did a wonderful job. It's something I would gladly put on my wall! ^-^

This is very beautiful! You made the violin look so real! I suggest that you make the backround a little sharper next time to make it look more real.
